Affiliate Marketing Income Report for July 2009

Posted on August 1st, 2009 by Collin in affiliate marketing

Well, it’s that time of the month again, where I get to see exactly how much I made and share it with all of you guys.

It has been an interesting month to say the least, with a slow period hitting due to the holidays plus the addition of a new affiliate network I started working with – it should be interesting to see the results. Just so you guys know, I add everything up that I made at the exact time I write this post. So what ever it is, I find out just before you do.

  • Unique Article Wizard – $70.00
  • PPC Coach – $49.00
  • Godaddy Domains – $100.00

Total Expenses – $373.00

Net Profit for July 2009 – $11,004.70

Personally I was shocked at this income for the month. Like I said in a post a few days ago, I have been very slack with working this month (and am changing that for next month) plus there has been a large decrease in traffic due to the summer holidays – I am guessing that’s the reason as my sites are all still ranked where they were a month ago.

So with July’s income being lower then normal and the first month in 7 months I have not seen a growth, looks like I am going to kick things up a bit. I have now hired a copywriter to work with me more on a few key sites I am building, so that should really help.

Last month I stated that I was going to get a Face book campaign up and running. I changed my mind on that after I saw the traffic drop, but don’t worry – I got some things in the books for August and if they all pan out, you’ll love the results.

Conclusion

In my mind I lost $1751.11 from the month before with the lower income from July, and even though it happens, I still don’t want this to become a habit or a trend.

With starting to use Unique Leads I will say that I am very impressed with the results so far. The tracking system they have seems to be top notch and very accurate and I look forward to seeing what I can do with them next month.

You are also going to receive a review of Unique Leads as well.

Hey Paul! For the most part I am self taught. There are a number of blogs that I have read over the past 2 years that have helped my out to though.

@Collin: That’s pretty impressive. I’ve heard of many affiliates making $10+k/m in profits from PPC, but not many who are doing that without paying for traffic.

Are there posts in your archives that share some tips on the kinds of strategies you’re utilizing? I’d love to learn. I’m currently doing about the same revenue as you, except that 60-70% of my revenue is lost due to PPC traffic costs.

    Hiya Collin!

The drop in income is sobering, but you’ve got things pretty well sussed out, so percentage wize you should still be OK. I am sure with a bit more application (and less holidays, of course) August will be moire bountiful. Good luck!

Sorry to hear your income is lower than you expected, but if this is what you can do in low season then imagine when traffic picks up again! Christmas is just around the corner (ok not really haha) so I’m sure that will help sales in a few months time.

Never blue ads sounds promising, I may sign up with them at some point. Sorry to hear your earnings are less than expected, but those are some impressive numbers to me.
