The First Hump I Need To Get Over To Explode!
My first goal in affiliate marketing was to get to point where I could replace my income as a plumber. Plumbers make some good cash so I had some work to do. I hit that goal in the first three months of this year. But what is stopping me from exploding my income online?
The biggest thing that is holding me back is time. There really is not enough hours in the day to do what I need to do and with the more sites I get built every month, I am losing even more time.
Right now, as it looks, I am sitting at about a 7k a month income stream that I should be able to maintain regularity. What I need to do is get up to about 12 to 14 k a month so I can hire a full time writer for my self. My brother is a published author and he wants to work for me, which is really cool because he does not need much money.
What a full time writer can do for me!
Free up all my article marketing time and allow me to focus on building new sites. If I had a writer full time at my disposal I could build at least 2 new sites per day instead of 1 every day and a half. Article Marketing really takes up a big portion of my time. If I only had 3 sites it would be easy to keep up with, but having 40 sites that are live – it is a bit of an issue. I am feeling the load to say the least!
I am actually working towards a goal of having 1000 sites live. I am a long way off, but having a writer would definitely help me get there sooner then later. I am also going to need to hire a link builder as well – but that’s down the road. The article marketing I do takes care of a lot of that for me already.
This is just a short term goal for me, and one that I really need to hit as fast as possible.

I’m really impressed at how far you’ve come Collin in such a short time. You’re running circles around me. I completely understand the time issues. The first thing I do when I wake up is turn the computer on. I even eat in front of the computer. Can you believe I even listen to audio and video tutorials when I do things like shower? I’m not trying to make it about me I just want you to know you are not alone.
I think you have the right idea about getting over the hump as soon as possible. I’ve been trying to do everything myself and you make a lot of sense about hiring help. Outsourcing sounds like a smart move.
ReplyLMAO in the shower – that’s great actually. Never thought about dong that before.
I can see though I am in the slow time of my niche. Might not beat lasts months total but I know I will hit it atleast.
ReplyOutsourcing is a good idea – what you need is someone who will work in partnership receiving a percentage of income/profit rather than a set fee. A set fee means their heart is not totally in it. If they are making a percentage then the better the articles the more traffic the more income.
I think there comes a time in every affiliate marketers working life where they need to take on help – profit sharing, done honestly, is always going to produce the best from everyone.
You have come a long way since we first met on line – and that wasn’t all that long ago – or was it? I have written a post on my site – http://myradicalblogs.com about this issue – linked to this post too – hope you don’t mind.
cheers

Thanks a million Les, and it wasn’t that long ago either. I will come check out your post.
Reply1000 sites!!! I’m just looking for one or two profitable affiliate sites to start
Anyway, I am sure you will get there soon and I am all for keeping the money in the family.
I’m finally (mostly) figured out the tracking system now (prosper202) and Month One of PPC coach is pretty good…. Still yet to run a profitable campaign but hoping to nail that this week.
ReplyI think leverage is the key. You could use some of your articles to create a small report for incentivizing (make people subscribe to your list), f.e. Then use that report as a chapter in an ebook (I don´t know if you´re doing that kind of stuff or not, just want to outline the possibilities of leverage) and in this you put links to your site/sites/affiliatelinks. Create an affiliate base and give them your book for free, let them resell it (they must not change the links)…Don´t know if this helps you, hope it does
ReplyYep. Leveraging time is a big part of it. It’s a sticking point for a lot of people. I haven’t got to that point, but time is money. Paying someone else to do the time consuming activities frees up precious time.
Reply40-1000 sites? Don’t you think you should be working on better marketing for optimization for each individual site?
Reply@Melody:
Nope, each site I build is targeting one offer only and the keywords or each site right now are only for the offer I am running.Once I have an article writer full time working for me then I can start heavier SEO ad link building practices.
Besides – Kris Jones (CEO of Pepperjam Network) told me to repeat my system 1000 times and then I will be a millionaire – that means 1000 sites
ReplyCollin,
Do you use UAW once for each site or do you run over and over again on the each site?
ReplyOnce for each site and then I see how that site performs.
