Make Money Online is the Wrong Niche to Follow!
This just cracks me up! I find it so funny how everyone who is trying to make money online is following that exact phrase to try and make money online. If those people only knew the real truth about how to make money online they would be following blogs about affiliate marketing instead. Seeings how, that’s how most of the people who make money online, make it!
I was just doing my daily rounds through my inbox where I was reading some of my favorite blogs when something hit me in the head. It was the first time I ever really looked at the amount of subscribers following these certain blogs and I was shocked because these bloggers/affiliate marketers give way better tips on how to make money online then the actual “Make Money Online” blogs.
My Top Blogs For Making Money Online I Read Daily!
Zac Johnson, who is considered by many people to be an uber affiliate (which means to me he is one of the best) and he only has just under 4500 subscribers. Zac Johnson makes in a month what John Chow makes in a year and Zac posts regularly how to make money online affiliate marketing. Zac also has a great, completely free guide on how to set up a PPC campaign – you can visit it here.
Zac Johnson also gives great tips on PPC marketing and gives you tons of free advice on how to make money with it. If your not reading Zac’s blog, you are really losing out!
Johnathon Volk is another great read of mine, he is not that big though in he affiliate marketing realm. He only makes just under 400,000 per month. I honestly don’t know why I waste my time reading the blog of a guy who makes only that much money. Can you tell I am being sarcastic, I hope so. Even though I get way better tips from Zac’s blog, Johnathon’s post are very helpful as well. I fully recommend his blog! You can visit it by clicking here! Funny thing is, Johnathon only has just over 1800 subscribers.
Ian Fernando, who I class as a personal friend of mine and a great guy to hang around with is also another great read for anyone ho is interested in making money online with affiliate marketing. Ian is well known in the PPC industry and attends almost all the functions there is for affiliate marketing, and he even speaks at some of them. Ian only has just over 700 subscribers. I am not sure what he makes per month right now but back when we were on TAC he was making over 400 per day between his campaigns and pimping (what ever that means) You can check out Ians blog and his latest post by clicking here.
Uber Affiliate, or Paul, is the guy that helped out Collin Lahay on TAC to have a $1600.00 dollar posting for one day during the competition. Well, what most of you don’t know, that $1600.00 that was made, was over only one hour of a campaign being live. Paul’s blog, like the other affiliate marketing blogs only has jut over 4000 readers. Paul, also gives some great tips and has some great industry related conversations. Check out Paul’s blog here.
If any of my readers really want to make money online, these are the sites to go to. It’s where the money is at! My guess on why there blog’s don’t have as many readers as John Chow and Shoemoney is because these guys spend there time making money, not talking about it.
If you are thinking that you need to have lots of money to get into affiliate marketing, your wrong. All you need to do to get started is have the cost of a good domain name that is relevant to what ever your product niche is you want to promote and some understanding of how to do keyword research and your all set. Read the blogs above before you do anything, even if it only has to do with PPC campaigns because when you are building an affiliate site that you might want to use for PPC someday. The tips yu will get from those blogs will help set up your sites so your cost of advertising is a lot less. That’s important guys!
Quote of the day for today’s post is!
“The tips you get today will make you money tomorrow”
Thanks for reading this post

PPC is not bad, once you get the hang of it. The hardest thing everyone has to over come is that fact you may lose money when you start off. But on the other hand, how much money is spent on college that never goes anywhere. At least with PPC you will only lose for so long before a nickel falls. You just have to stick with it and learn as much as you can.
Regarding John getting props and Zac nothing, Zac is not here for fame…..John is. Sort of!
ReplyThe keyphrase “make money online” is a hot one, about that there is no doubt! Affiliate marketing is definitely one of the best ways to make this online money byt he looks of things. Thanks for the referrals, I’m busy surfing and commenting on the various blogs right now!
ReplyGreat advice on avoiding make money online, that is of course if you cant compete there anyway. On the other hand, one of my (almost 200) sites is #5 out of 90,000,000 (yes, ninety million) sites that compete for the term “Affiliate Marketing Directory” on Google, and I am here to tell you affiliate marketing is equally competitive. People need to stay clear of any of these realms completely, and identify real niches.
Neither “Make Money Online” nor “Affiliate Marketing Directory” are niches by the truest sense of the word, but your point is a good one.
I helped one client develop a site for “wedding favors”, and he used my methods to get to the top of Google and stay there and now publishes material on how to do what we taught him. His wedding favors sites do very well.
As a point of note, Google doesn’t care what your domain is, only that your url contains the keywords you are going after as far to the left of the url as possible. In other words, don’t pick domain name just because the name contains the keyword. Inbound linking counts about 5,000X more than on-site optimization, which is where the url is counted.
Cheers,
Ron

Hey Ron
I have read an article from Matt Cluts where he has stated that in the new year links are not going to count for as much as they do now. Which would be nice to see to remove all the link selling and buying and the spam link building tools. I do how ever forget where I read this but I was wandering your thoughts on this.
PS
ReplyHow did you find this article in the first place. Just wandering
