Nerves Are Shot – Top Affiliate Challenge

After 2 days of watching the Top Affiliate Challenge site and waiting for news I can honestly say that my nerves are gone, shot, a big pile of muck!

For a no body blogger like me, well a smaller blogger would fit better I think, I went into the auditions to get on the show hopeful but still a major under dog. I was not how ever able to secure a spot in the top ten list for the contestants, I came in 12th! Which for me is super good but not good enough!

So whats next?

Well, there is 12 spots open for the show so what it has come down to now is basically just a some amount of us. It kind of feels like we have had to audition all over again but instead of asking for people to vote for us, The Guru’s hand pick us, or the remaining 2 contestants. So from my point of view this is even more stressful. Do you know what it feels like to know almost everything about you is getting chewed over by the likes of Jeremy (Shoemoney) John Chow and Ken McArthur. That has got to be the worst feeling I have ever had online to date, waiting to find out if I get on or not as one of the last two contestants.

What we had to do after we found out we didn’t make the top ten list is do a 250 word right up of why we think we should be chosen and post it in the Top Affiliate Challenge forums.

Here is what I had to say!

I am not going to blow smoke up your asses guys and tell you that I know all there is to know about affiliate marketing. I don’t! (and I won’t eat poop either)

There is one thing I bring to the table that I am sure you can all relate to very strongly, and that’s the love for my family! It’s that love that I have that pushes me, forces me, drives me towards a better life and one I will have someday. There is no stronger motivator to succeed then that love for your family so I am sure you tell all ready what type of passion I will bring to that table and how focused I will be everyday.

I emailed John wishing him luck and his team luck when I thought I had no chance to be on the show today, then he responded with “[B]Don’t give up yet[/B]” and this link to this thread. I honestly cried because of how badly I want this chance to prove myself to all of you, my son, my girlfriend, and myself that I can win the Top affiliate Challenge or at worst make a crap load of money for you while I am there.

PS – I bring a emailing list with over 75,000 names on it if I get on, would that help sales

All I can do at this point is hope for the best and keep my figures crossed. If all else fails on the other hand I should be proud of myself and what I have done so far just trying to get on the show. There was some of the finalists who had purchased hundreds of the super votes which helped them secure there spots, I was just not able to do that and for my regular readers you know why and the exact method I am using to make money online, which is fine with me.

Regardless of the outcome of the decision that is supposed to be handed down two the last two finalists I still have to commend these guys for the choices they now have to make. There are a few of us only that responded to the request for the 250 word plea out of the final 15 or so people in the top 25% but there are still so many great contestants left to choose from all with very strong and emotional pleas why they should get there shot. I would hate to be in there spot, and all I can say on my behalf is I hope the final two are picked in a fair manner and there is no back dooring anyone. I don’t think that would happen anyways but you never know right!

I can’t forget to mention that Thor Schrock has done a great job producing this either, he has. And I would really hate to see what his in box is like right about now.

It is 3 in the afternoon and it has been confirmed that I did not get selected but I was very close to getting on the show. I want to congratulate the winners and wish them all the best of luck on winning the Top Affiliate Challenge.
