Wow what a crappy exchange rate

Ok so I got a commission check in the mail today and was really excited to get it into the bank and see how much extra I got because I live in Canada and the check was in US funds.

Well I was a bit disappointed in what I ended up with, a whole .41 cents extra. Now I see why Canadians are complaining about the exchange rate we get when we get paid in US funds.

If you are a Canadian shopper looking to go to the US to spend some money now really is a good time to do this. And if you have lots of money buying US property is even a better and smarter plan. Working for US funds on the other hand may not be much of an interest because of our banks policies (or at least mine anyways) checks are held for 30 days until they clear and online making a whooping .41 cents does not seem worth the wait for.

Now if your looking to make some real money online affiliate marketing with a great exchange rate then I would suggests going after affiliate programs that are based out of the UK, and pay in UK funds. The last time I looked if you got paid $100.00 in UK funds that converted over to around $250.00 in Canadian funds. Cool thing with that is your spending Canadian money to make UK money. Way better return on your online buck wouldn’t you agree.

I live in South Africa, our current exchange rate to the US dollar stands at R7-32 to $1-00. That is downright scary!

Not as good as it would have been a year or two ago. Hurts me as well being Canadian and dealing in mostly US dollars.
