Another Blogging Milstone Hit – 1 Year Anniversary!

Posted on February 1st, 2009 by Collin in Blogging

Today’s post is going to be a bit short as I just wanted to let everyone know that today is my one year anniversary for this blog, and what a year it has been. I feel bad for people who don’t make it this far in blogging because if you are able to push through the bad times you will see light at the end of the tunnel.

Looking back over the past year I am a bit shocked at what I have all done so far. I have meet some of the industries biggest bloggers while on an affiliate marketing web show called the top affiliate challenge. Because of that show I have been able to build a persona of myself of having a very honest outlook on a lot of different topics.

I have also learned a completely new industry – which is affiliate marketing – and went from not making any money at all to an amazing $2600.00 last month (not including the $750.00 of prizes I won in Market Leverages contest). I know that is not much money but – it is something – a new laptop!

I have also met some great people through different social sites and my mentor program who I value in very high regards. You guys know who you are and I wanted to say thank you for everything you have done for me.

I am looking forward to year number 2 and seeing where I end up – lets take things to the next level shall we!

    Hey Colin,

Well I think $2600 in a month is awesome…. More than I made last month and I worked my anus off.

I’m doing a little better now and was really please to see a $25 commission from an old post that I spent a day optimizing (I saw it was getting great search traffic).

Anyway once I get my client work out of the way in Feb I will be back to creating some niche sites to hopefully start getting some more residual income coming in.

    Hi Colin

Let me join the crowd of well wishers – you have done a great job. I remember the day you started this blog and some of the problems you had getting things to work the way you wanted them too. From here it’s onwards and upwards.

I think I will be signing up to you mentor program the next time you have a vacancy. If I could average half your monthly income I would be happy.

Happy blog birthday and good luck for year two,

    cheers

First of all, congratulations on your 1st anniversary! Secondly, congrats on your $2600 earnings. If you translate it into South African currency it is a tidy sum indeed, which will buy a very nice laptop! Keep it up in the new year and I’m looking forward to more!

Hey very cool! Happy Anniversary or Birthday whichever you please…
Then holy cow Batman! $2600 rocks! From zip to that…you go man. There’s something to be said for the day you begin feeling the results of your efforts.

Again, big kudos, and keep it up. Lord knows where you’ll be in another year from now, should be fun comparing your number from this year to next now, eh?!?!

In about 3 months, I’ll be celebrating that sweet 1 year anniversary too. Though I’m not close to making the kind of income you made, at the very least, I made it this far. Congrats!
