“The five question blogger challenge”

Watch today’s video or read the entire post below!

Video Recap

Today’s post is my way of trying to learn more about my readers and have my readers learn more about me with a very simple five question challenge. Here is how it is going to work. Below I am asking five basic blogging questions based around “Who, What, When, Where, and Why“where you can then leave a comment with a link back to where ever you have responded with your answers so next Monday I can create a mash up post with every-ones responses listed, and who knows maybe you might meet someone who becomes a friend for life.

Here are the questions!

  • Who – inspires you to blog?
  • What – is your long term goal for blogging?
  • When – did you first decide to start blogging?
  • Where – do you want to be in a year from now?
  • Why – did you decide that a blog or the Internet was the place for you?

Here are my responses to these questions!

The person who inspires me to keep blogging is my son. He loves what I am doing and understands why I am doing it. It is funny, now that I am video posting he walks around the house pretending to be doing it himself with my old digital camera and talks the same way I do. He is only seven!

What my long term goal is, to be able to create a method of making money online that will replace my current professional income as a plumber. I have been a plumber for 15 years and it is time for a change in my life. I have been hurt 2 times working and I am just sick of it. Replacing my income does not have to be with this blog alone, it can be any means I can find on the Internet and affiliate marketing looks to be the most promising right now.

When I first decided to blog was last summer, I first wanted to try and find a way to make some extra money as being a full time single father I could not go after side jobs with in my profession and I was finding it hard to make ends meat with what I was earning only working 8 hours a day. I have since found out that there is a way (I have not found yet) to fully replace my income and I am working towards that goal. I also love the blogsphere and the people in it.

Where I want to be a year from now is simple, I want to be a full time web publisher and blogger.

Why I turned to the Internet as a potential source of income is because there is a massive amount of information online and all the tools I need are in one place for me to learn. I also turned to the Internet because it is a way for me to make extra money with out having to leave my family for tons of hours.

Now, if you want to take part in this challenge please leave a comment with the location to your answers to the questions so we can all find out a bit more about who you are and also I can then go and collect the information so I can post it here next Monday for everyone.

I look forward to reading everyones responses!

A Vlogger finally! I’ve been thinking about podcasting for the last few years, I’ve done one or two podcasts for a few forums I belong in and the feedback was great, so I’m exploring into that and seeing someone from a simillar medium is great!

    I’ll definitely stick around :)

    Cheers,
    Allen

Hey Allen.H, thanks for coming by. Vlogging has been I think one of my best moves so far. I was wandering about podcast but am not sure myself yet how to get into them or how to produce the code to get it on my site. Got any Tips?
