This morning, as I was browsing through some sites I noticed that a ton of people do not have a contact form for there sites. I found this very odd so I just needed to post about it today and see if there was a reason why so many people don’t have one.
I feel a contact page is a major tool bloggers need to have as it forms a stronger bond between you’re readers and you. I have received tons of emails over the past few months from people who were just to shy to ask a question in the comment section or they did not speak English properly and didn’t want to look dumb with a badly typed comment. If I never had a contact page then those people never would of turned into readers.
If you start thinking along the lines that “communication is the key to my success” you will start to notice a difference in how your blog is performing and growing. You’re reader numbers start going up, and you will start to feel a bit like your blog is making a difference and helping people, also you’re income starts to climb as well. When you start you’re blog and you want to “make money online” with it, the whole world is your market place, so take a few simple steps towards reaching out to those who want to reach you. ( oh that was a good one )

Here is a little contest update for ya as well. On Saturday I kick started my “grand opening contest” and so far we are off to a great start. I was contacted by the author of Jonlee over the weekend asking me if it was to late to sponsor the contest. I had to tell him no, that it was not to late because the more community involvement the better the results. He has sponsored us with a great prize and it is six months worth of advertising on his blog in the form of a 125×125 ad button. The total value of this prize is 300 dollars. I will be doing a random draw over the next week for this prize so make sure you get you’re entry in. You can visit my Grand Opening Contest here. If there is a prize you want to donate, please feel free to visit my contact page and let me know what you have in mind as it is never to late.
Thanks everyone

I too am shocked at how many people have neither a contact OR about me pages. Both very very important.
It was a good one

ReplySpeaking of that Dennis, I have to redo my about me page……opps.
ReplyColin – good tips. I upgraded my About Me page a while back. It could still use more work but its much better than it was before.
