Well, it has taken a few weeks to get done but I can finally say with extreme pride that Feed Flare Media is now live! There are a few things still to get done like a actual home page for the network. I had a graphic guy working on it, he got as far as making a new logo and then poof! He was gone! If you know of a good graphics guy, let me know!

Currently right now there are around 40 or so offers live inside the network and yes, they are mostly health product related offers. Not junky ones though, offers that are going to be sticking around a while that are all FTC Compliant and allow duo flog landing pages. Feed Flare Media even has 8 health offers that are compliant to run on Google Adwords! It was very nice to see that kind of quality in the network right off the hop.

Sign Up With Feed Flare Media

Join Feed Flare Media?

Here are just a few key features built into Feed Flare Media that I think are super features for all affiliates to have in a network they are running offers with, and these features are exactly what I was looking for and wanted from networks I was working with in the past! Enjoy Them!

First is that Feed Flare Media has it’s own built in ad manager. You can load the ad manager up with your banners and affiliate links, then set it live on which ever ad network your buying traffic from and let the ad manager track everything for you, right from inside your affiliate center. Great feature for all you media buyers out there!

Feed Flare Media also uses impression based cookies. What are impression based cookies? Well, instead of your visitors having to click on one of your links in order for you to get credit for a lead, all that has to happen with Feed Flare Media’s links is for your page to load. This way ( and this happens all the time) if your visitor decides to type in the product name and by pass your affiliate links to get the product you are still getting credit for the lead. Just an extra way for you to improve your ROI at the end of the day (and mine too)!

Place your own pixels! No more hounding your affiliate managers to place pixels for you, you can do it right from inside the offer page it’s self, where you grab your affiliate links from.

10% profit sharing on affiliate referrals you send to Feed Flare Media FOR LIFE, plus have full detailed reports of all affiliate sign ups under your affiliate link and what they have earned.

No Pre Set conversion rates. If you are super good at affiliate marketing and you can drive quality traffic and get leads, you get paid for all your leads. If there is any need to remove a lead, (sometimes pixels fire twice on the same ip address) you will be provided with a full report. Everything about Feed Flare Media is on the up and up – 100% transparent! That’s how I affiliate market and that’s how I run thing in my network.

There is a bunch more features packed into Feed Flare Media and a bunch more set to go live very shortly too.

Join Today

What Offers Would You Like To See?

Not to many networks ask there affiliates, what they would like to see for offers so I figured I would ask you guys. There is no point in me filling up Feed Flare Media with a bunch of offers no one is going to run just to say I have thousands of offers. That is a pile of work for me and a pile of junk you would have to sift through to find what your looking for. Leave a comment after this post with your idea’s for offers.

With that all said, I hope to see you there and if not, I will for sure keep you updated and how things are going and I will still post my own private affiliate earnings reports on a monthly basis as well. Not the networks!

Well, looks like I am going to be an affiliate network owner after all! After many hours of deliberation and weighing out the pros and cons of being an owner of a affiliate network. I decided today after my final platform review was done that it is time to move forward with my business plans and start the design process of the website and network.

Don’t get to excited yet – it’s going to be a few months down the road before everything is set to go live for affiliates to join my network. I want everything just perfect before launch and I also want to make sure I have a pile of good offers for everyone to chose from as well with the best payouts I can give.

Here are a few bedrock principles that Feed Flare Media is going to be built around. I am going to be keeping some of the information secret , for now!

Service and education are going to be two things I am going to focus a lot on. Those are two very key area’s that most networks are extremely lacking in. Well, 95% of the networks anyways. Giving affiliates the right tools to do there jobs is key to everyone’s success – right???

Extreme affiliate screening will also be done prior to anyone every getting approved for an account. I use to get so mad when an offer I had converting on a network would get pulled from that network because some dumb ass affiliate does nothing but produce fraudulent leads. I am going to weed you out before you join my network so you don’t end up killing someone’s campaign, or costing us all a bunch of money. I am going to be investing tons of hours and money getting this network off the ground, to heck if someone is going to ruin it!

The same is going to apply to advertisers as well. I want stable, long term advertisers as part of my network so affiliates can all trust that they can build a solid business that is going to last as long as possible.

I personally believe that anyone and everyone should enjoy all aspects of there work. Not just what they make from working. So I am going to take all the frustrations I have had and put them into building a network that people can be proud to be a part of. There is stress and always will be stress when you work for yourself, don’t get me wrong, but what ever I can do to remove some of that stress – I will.

The platform I have chosen to use for my network also has absolutely no tools built into it for me (or anyone else who uses this same platform – and there is 3200 other companies who do) to steel leads from affiliates, like with what happens to Direct Track network affiliates. The platform creators built there system to be trust worthy, honest and dead on accurate – and after a 90 minuet demo today – I can honestly say – it is and it’s packed with features I wish all networks would have.

So with all that being said, it’s time for me to finalize how this new network of mine is going to look – I am so excited!!!

I just wanted to give a little update about something I have known and learned about recently regarding different networks and the platforms they use. It’s no secret that I want my own network in time so it is natural for me to research different platforms that I would invest my money into. I have gone through way to many frustrations personally that I know I can remove owning an affiliate network. Yes I know there are other headaches that show up but I have plans for them as well.

What you might not know, which is something I have known for a while and just had confirmation on today, is that if you are a good affiliate and you are able to really scale a campaign up you may just be losing money and not even know it. Why? Well, if the network you are pulling the offer from is based on a Direct Track Network platform, they have the ability to set your conversion rates on offers to what ever they want them to be. Let me explain!

Example

Advertiser A wants to get traffic to a diet pill offer. He goes to a network that runs on a Direct Track platform. The advertiser lists his diet pill with the network and the network uses there own marketers to test the campaign. Just so you know, all networks have there own in house teams running the same offers you are. During the testing stage of the new offer the network and the advertiser find out that the offer converts on average at 10%. So after testing phase the offer goes live to all the affiliates in the network and sometimes to other networks.

Now, here is where you lose money with Direct Track base networks.

The networks tell there publishers after testing is done that the offer converts at 10% so a bunch of affiliates start running it. There are 5 supper affiliates among the group who are really good at scaling up campaigns to make more then the 10% the offer is currently at. With Direct Track Networks, they can set your conversion rates individually to never convert on a offer higher then that 10% – so no matter how hard you try and scale an offer, you will never make any more money, just lose and the network keeps the difference usually!!!!!! Once the network sees that they lost you as a pub on that offer – they will most likely pull you back in with a higher payout as they know what they can see from you and how it’s converting for you. Shady business eh!!!

Today I spent time with Link Trust, which is another affiliate marketing platform and I went through a 80 minuet demo on the platform and what it can all do. I must say, its one heck of a network system and there is no way for the network or networks using that platform to set your conversion rates to never go past a certain percentage nor will they ever build it into the platform. I have seen the entire back end of the platform as well as I have seen the back end of Direct Tracks and from an affiliate stand point – I would NEVER trust the other Direct Track platform at all.

Examples of a Direct Track Network are – Market Leverage and Copeac

I am sure there are some Direct Track Networks that are honest, but how can you trust any platform that has the ability to set your rates to never go past a certain percentage. I can’t! To be honest with you I have not looked into any other platforms yet but I will, like Has Offers, so I don’t know a whole lot about other systems or the platforms that are custom. When the time comes for me to launch my network I want the best interface and the most honest system I can find. That’s just who I am.

What are your thought’s on affiliate networks having this ability to set your rates to never go higher then a certain percentage???

Seeings how it’s been a few weeks since I have posted, I wanted to start off this post which is a review of the Profit Kings Media Network by first saying Happy New Years to all my readers. 2009 was a great year for learning for a lot of us and now we need to take what we have learned (all my ups and downs) and apply that knowledge to building a solid business for 2010. Good luck everyone!

Profit Kings Media

Ok, lets get onto talking about Profit Kings Media, which is an affiliate network where you can get a wide variety of offers from. One thing you may be asking yourself right now is “What makes Profit Kings Media” different from all the other networks. There are a few key things you should be keeping in mind at this point as I am going to point out what I really liked after taking a peek around the network.

First is – higher payouts. I like knowing that I am going to be getting max dollar out of the gate. I hate having to barter for more money from networks. That to me is a pain in the ass and is something I should not have to do. Myself, I like service and affiliate managers who know something about the business. It’s not always about the money but when I know I am getting the max, I feel better knowing that.

Profit Kings Media takes low margins on their offers and so their default payouts are usually higher than what most get BUMPED to. They are even willing to run margin-less to earn your business. They literally WANT your traffic – big or small, Profit Kings Media appreciates every cent and do not discriminate.

If you are wandering how can a network run with out making profits for a while when you first join them, I can explain that. In the grand scheme of things, in order to attract bigger and better advertisers, the new advertisers want to know that your network can deliver a volume of traffic – so, by running on little to no margins to get their volume up – they can then go after bigger advertisers and grow their brand. It’s simply re-investing their own profit back into the business type of thing to grow it. So in short, a little profit here for a lot more profit later – smart actually when you think about it.

The next key feature I want to point out to you is the fact, Profit Kings Media was started by affiliate marketers. This is really important to you because if you need help scaling a campaign and or optimizing a campaign – you have people who know what there doing and can give you that help. Unlike a lot of the networks I deal with where I get no support from, Profit Kings is there to make sure you do not fail!

Profit Kings also pays weekly (every Monday) REGARDLESS of your volume; no threshold. You can make $30-$300,000/week and they will still pay you weekly. So if having a budget is an issue – consider that gone now. Your cash flow is back up. To be honest, there is no reason for anyone to have to wait 30 days to get their money – everything runs electronically so….

Profit Kings Media also sends daily tips/mini campaign guides via network emails which are INFORMATIVE versus the junk/spam you get from other networks pushing you to run offers. They show you where offers work and how to push them.

All in all I am impressed with Profit Kings, what they stand for and there payouts. With weekly payouts and the ability to go and get any offer you want – you really do not have anything to lose. Like me, you should only gain!!!

Join Profit Kings Media Here

I have been holding this post back for about two weeks now. I was unsure if any of you would want to know about CardOffers dot com and the type of network they are. Lets face it, credit cards are a tough niche to break into but when you can earn $20.00 to $160.00 per approved credit card application plus after you make your first $1000.00 in commissions you get a free Nintendo Wii I just had to let everyone know about them.

About a month ago I decided to get into the credit card niche. It is a tough niche to break into so it is one of the sites I have I know I am going to have to sit on for a few months and let it rank. It cost me $15.00 for a domain name so I figured what the heck. I built the site, did some web 2.0 traffic building and built up a few back links to the site. So far so good, and what has been cool is from the traffic I did get I got three credit card applications filled out and approved. That was a very easy $220.00 for me and I can’t wait until the site really picks up. So far, this site has been a very solid investment for me.

I got into credit cards because I knew through some research I did that out of everyone that searches for credit cards online, 94% of those people will fill out the credit card apps once they hit the card there looking for. 94% is a huge amount of action I wanted to be a part of and seeings how I made the kind of money that I did with no advertising, hardly any traffic and only being a month old I can’t wait to see what the site does in six months time.

CardOffers dot com!

Joining CardOffers dot com has a few perks that comes along with your free sign up. The first thing I want to tell you about is the fact you have over 150 credit cards you can promote and earn a commission on. You can really go to town if you want and build a site around every type of niche card they have, American Express, Prepaid, Secured, Poor Credit and so on. You might be saying at this point ” I have no idea about how to build a credit card site” and if you are don’t worry, CardOffers dot com has that angle covered in two ways for you.

The first way they have it covered is by having a service where they can, and will build the entire site for you, fill it full of content and your affiliate links then all you have to do is build backlinks to it to get it ranked. I know there is a fee behind this service and I have no idea how much it is as you all know, I build my own sites. But, if your unsure of how to build a credit card site that is going to covert, just ask them for a price and if you think it is to much then ask me and I will help you.

The second way to get credit card content onto a site which is the way I get mine is by installing there JavaScript code onto a page of your site (or a post). Their JavaScript code updates regularly so the credit card information is always up to date. 6 months from now if the interest rate changes for a particular card, your website updates where you have that JavaScript installed. There is really nothing for you to do.

The following picture shows you half of the information that ends up on your site when you use there JavaScript content system. I could not fit it all into the screen to take my screen shot. I just wanted to show you a bit of what you will, or your visitors will see once they hit your site. With detailed information like this, it helps to get conversations.

Once you have been approved to CardOffers as an affiliate you have a bit of work to do before you get rolling. You have to go through the offers that are on the site, pick the cards you want to promote (I just picked them all) and then you can start placing codes or links onto your site. The whole process takes about 30 to 45 minuets to go through. That was fine for me because I really wanted to learn my way around the network. It’s good to do that when you first start with a new affiliate network because the last thing you want to do is get kicked out of a program for not knowing the terms and how to use the offers properly.

How you can earn a Nintendo Wii!

CardOffers dot com has a very nice bonus system in place for new affiliates. That bonus system is a free Nintendo Wiii gaming console. How you earn this console is by promoting CardOffers credit cards and getting sign ups. Every time someone fills out a credit app and gets approved your commission amount gets stored so that once you hit $1000.00 in approved sign ups you will not only get your check, but you will also get a brand new Nintendo Wii. You get your checks every month like every other network, and if it takes you 8 months for some reason to get to $1000.00 in commissions, you still get the console. There is no time limit on getting the Nintendo Wii which is dame nice if you ask me. And seeings how I have $220.00 towards that all ready I am almost 25% of the way there.

Just to show you how easy it would be to get the Nintendo Wii if you were promoting the Amercain Express Bussiness Card which has a payout commission of $160.00 per application approved. You would have to get 7 cards approved and you will get your Nintendo Wii.

When should you become an affiliate of CardOffers if your not ready to start a site like this right now?

To be 100% honest with you, if your anything like me, if you don’t click on the link and sign up right now that chances are your going to forget about it and never do it. Then, when the day comes your ready to take on a bigger affiliate network with huge payouts your going to be scratching your head wandering where it was you seen that post about CardOffers.

Here’s a tip!

When ever you see a post like this one sign up for the network. Then, once your approved which can take a day or so, bookmark the network where you have all your other ones bookmarked or saved. That way when you are ready to take action or explore a new network you have the information all ready saved and application already filled out and approved. It’s more of a time saver to sign up now then it is to try and remember where you read the post about it.

The biggest and single most highest paying types of affiliate marketing offers would have to be anything related to the credit industry.

It has been just over two months since I was on the Internet reality show called Top Affiliate Challenge and I can’t believe it has been that long all ready. Wow how times fly’s by! I bet your wandering though what has been the impact on me since the show and has it improved my status in the industry. The answer to that is YES and here is are just a few examples of how things have changed.

The most recent thing that has happened to me and it’s probably the biggest thing is a recent interview I had given to Kris Jones, President and CEO of the Pepperjam Network. It was a huge honor for me to do this interview with Kris, I have nothing but the highest respect for his network and who he is in this industry. Personally I think the interview looks great! What is even more outstanding is the people who were interviewed before me. There is a small list of 18 other affiliates Kris has interviewed and they are from what I can tell, industry leaders!

You can read my interview that’s live today by clicking here!

Another thing that has happened in the wake of the Top Affiliate Challenge is the rate I get approved for affiliate networks. I get approved now, it almost seems with in about 2 hours of any that I have applied for since the show. Heck, I have even been auto signed up for one program and I was emailed the creative and my affiliate links. That program is not even live yet, it’s still in beta and there is only a small hand full of people who are promoting it. So that felt really good.

So you see guys, next year when the Top Affiliate Challenge is going through its paces to get 12 more contestants, think about it hard and try out. You may not make it far in the show but you sure do have a status change after ward’s. And just a little heads up too, Darren from Problogger might be one of the Guru’s.

Well, 2 days ago exactly I started a new affiliate site with pepperjam network, my first one with them to be honest even though I have been an affiliate of there’s for around 6 months or so. The site is so new in fact I only have 2 articles on it as I am still learning about the company and the product, it’s a woman’s clothing line so I have a lot of research to do because I don’t wear the stuff……. that often!

The really funny thing is, out of 1.5 million pages indexed for the search term I used for the site. In two days I am ranked in spot number 3 on the first page of Google. Now I don’t mean to pat myself on the back here, but dame that is good research and building skills if I do say so my self.

What I love the best about the affiliate program I am using and the site I have live with them and the website building tools I use, I will be able to in about a month hit the number 1 to 3 spot (front page) for all the popular search terms used to find the product I am promoting and corner the market fully and be 120% ready for the Xmas rush.

So with the success of my last few affiliate sites I have built hitting page 1 in Google searches in under a week and now in under 2 days I am going to be giving some very strong consideration to starting a small consulting practice here on Feed Flare. I know there is a lot of people who would love to be able to do what I do so why not start offering my services. Lot’s of other experts do it right?

Well over the next few weeks your going to be seeing some solid changes here with a new theme coming (That’s right, I am going to be installing the new citrus theme from UBD) as well as some new services available for all to purchase, at a darn good price. Your going to have to wait to see what I come up with for services and packages.

One final note, the pepperjam network is a great place for anyone to start affiliate sites, they have tons of great and popular product lines.

Ask questions first before you join an affiliate network. Do a bit of research about the choices of platform that you intend to join into. Get a few answers because they’ll be the crucial point of what you’ll be achieving afterwards.

Will it cost you anything to join? Most affiliate networks being offered today are absolutely for free. So why decide for those that charge you some dollars before joining.

When do they issue the commission checks? Every network is different. Some issue their checks once a month, quarterly, etc. Select the one that’s suited to your payment time choice. Many affiliate networks are setting a minimum earned commission amount that an affiliate must meet or exceed in order for their checks to be issued.

What is the hit per sale ratio? This is the average number of hits to a banner or text link it takes to generate a sale based on all affiliate statistics. This factor is extremely important because this will tell you how much traffic you must generate before you can earn a commission from the sale.

How are referrals from an affiliate’s site tracked and for how long do they remain in the system? You need to be confident on the program enough to track those people you refer from your site. This is the only way that you are able to credit for a sale. The time period that those people stay in the system is also important. This is because some visitors don’t buy initially but may prefer to return later to make the purchase. Know if you’ll still get credit for the sale if it’s done some months from a certain day.

What are the forms of affiliate stats available? Your choice of affiliate networks should be capable of offering detailed stats. They should be available online anytime you decide to check them out. Constantly checking your individual stats is important to know how many impressions, hits and sales are already generated from your site. Impressions are the number of times the banner or text link was viewed by a visitor of your site. A hit is the one clicking on the banner or text links.

Does the affiliate program also pay for the hits and impressions besides the commissions on sales? It’s important that impressions and hits are also paid, as this will add to the earnings you get from the sales commission. This is especially important if the program you’re in offers low sales to be able to hit ratio.

Who’s the online retail merchant? Find out whom you’re doing business with to know if it’s really a solid company. Know the products they’re selling and the average amount they’re achieving. The more you know about the retailer offering you the affiliate program, the easier it will be for you to know if that program is really for you and your site.

Is the affiliate a one tier or two tier program? A single tier program pays you only for the business you yourself have generated. A two tier program pays you for the business, plus it also pays you a commission on the on the sales generated by any affiliate you sponsor in your program. Some two-tier programs are even paying small fees on each new affiliate you sponsor. More like a recruitment fee.

Lastly, what is the amount of commission paid? 5% – 20% is the commission paid by most programs. .01% – .05% is the amount paid for each hit. If you find a program that also pays for impressions, the amount paid isn’t much in the least. As you are able to see from the figures, you’ll now understand why the average sales amount and hit to sale ratio is important.

These are just some of the questions that needed answering first before you enter into an affiliate program. You should be acquainted with the many important aspects that your chosen program should have before incorporating them into your website. Try to ask your affiliate program choices these questions. These can help you select the right program for you site from among the many available.
