I love Wordpress 2.7
I must say, out of all the upgrades I have been through with Wordpress, I love 2.7 the most. I just can’t stop working right now. I am obsessed with writing today on my blogs. Right now I am using the quick press feature and giving it a try. I like it!
I did have a few problems with my upgrade. I don’t think it is the fault of wordpress 2.7 either. I had a few plug in’s I had to remove as they were causing major data base issues. My data base has been the bane of my existence with my server upgrade too.
The first plug in I removed was the wp-sticky post plugin. Why? Well, the sticky post feature is now built into wordpress. Cool eh!
The second plugin I had to remove was the rating plugin I had going. It was causing some major ass data base issues for me, so it had to go. I didn’t have it very long so that’s ok.
One thing about installing plugins now is, you no longer have to leave your site to install new one. You can do it all right from the plug in page f your dash board.
If you have not downloaded and installed wordpress 2.7, go for it, you’re going to love it!

I couldn’t agree more!
I made almost this same post a while back – and love it more now than I did then!
The difference between versions is night and day!
ReplyI like it too. I haven’t tried the QuickPress feature yet. I had to delete the sticky post plugin too but haven’t found where it’s built in yet but I’m glad to hear it’s there.
ReplyBrian, its a drop down on the right hand side near the top!
ReplyYa Wes, talk about spoiling us eh!
ReplyI hear the new Wordpress 2.7 is pretty awesome. My primary concern in upgrading is that I’m using Brian Threaded comments plugin which uses a different comments.php. I understand that the new version of wordpress has this feature built into it so I’m concerned about how it’s going to screw up comments. Anyone here have any suggestions?
ReplyI couldn’t tell you ether way. I don’t have Brians threaded comments, would be nice though!
