Very Cool Feature Added This Week – Photo Gallery

Posted on October 10th, 2008 by Collin in Feed Flare

John Chow and Collin De Ruyck A few weeks back John Chow posted about how to add a photo gallery to your blog using a simple plug in for wordpress called Flickr Photo Album which was released and created by Tan Tan Noodles.

What I have always liked about photo galleries on blogs is the fact it once again allows you to share more about who you are with your readers, giving you a better connection with them. In the video below John explains how you can get traffic from using this plug in that is tied to your Flicker account.

Before you grab this plug in for your wordpress blog I also wanted to share something with you about Flickr I never even knew existed. Flickr has a desktop up loader you can use for free when you have an account with them. I thought last night when I started this project of creating a gallery on this site it was going to take me hours to pull off and do because I had over 500 photo’s I wanted to upload. Well, using this free tool you get from Flicker I made my whole gallery in under 2 hours. I thought that was fast!

One thing I still have to do though is go through my Flickr account and create tags and properly name all the photos. Doing this allows me to max out on my traffic from Flickr, which John Explains in the video below on how you get free traffic.

Once your done watching the video, head on over to my Photo Gallery and check out some of my pics!

You can grab the plug in by clicking here

Notice any site slow-down due to the photos?
