Extremely Disapointed in Titan Pay – Not Paying Affiliates!

Posted on May 25th, 2009 by Collin in Niche Stores

A while back I posted a review for Store Stacker, a tool that can be bought and used to build niche stores for a number of different sites. I was so impressed with the system that I joined the affiliate program through Titan Pay, which is owned by the maker of Store Stacker, Scott Trimble.

I almost instantly got indexed on page one for the term “Build a Niche Store” and started driving a lot of clicks to the offer – Store Stacker. I was able to drive over 200 new visitors to the store stack home page which is kind of low but what ever. I guess store stacker or building niche stores has dropped in popularity over the past 6 months.

I was able to get one lead in February for a total commission of $73.00. I reviewed the terms and conditions for the network to see if there was an threshold I needed to pass in order to get paid for that, I was un-able to find any. So, I assumed that I was going to be seeing a check in the mail for that lead – I never got one and its been 4 months!!!!!!

I have emailed Scott and also the support staff at Titan Pay regarding this payment that is owed to me and I have never got any responses back. Needless to say I am dropping all links pointing to Titan Pay Products as well as the review for store stacker.

The point of this post!

When ever you sign up with a new network and you start running offers for them, you ALWAY want to test them out and make sure you get paid from them before you start going heavy promoting there offers.

I always make sure that there is a regular payment schedule as part of the network to insure my work gets paid for – do you? And yes, if there is a crappy network like Titan Pay around that does not pay there affiliate, and I get screwed, I will also post it here so that maybe I can prevent one of you from going through the same B/S I have gone through trying to collect.

PS

It’s not that losing $73.00 is going to hurt me in any way shape or form, and maybe Titan Pay really needs that money that I earned – it’s the point behind not paying that I wanted to get across.

Update May 28th/09

I just received an email stating the minimum payment threshold is set to a $200.00 minimum, I never knew that when I joined up.

That really sucks :( … I hope they buck their ideas up and give you a valid explanation and payment.

In the long run they will lose out as things like this stick even if they do improve. Thanks for alerting me to stay away from them!!

Thanks for posting the bad with the good. And maybe if they do some PR management they will come across something like “Titan Pay Scam” or “Scott Trimble Fraud” and then realize they need to provide some explanations.

    cd :O)

It is not always about the money, but about the principle. It is nice to have a cheap lesson rather than an expensive one, because those do hurt just a little. How does their $200 threshold compare to others? It seems quite high to me.

That’s pretty weird, it’s the first time I heard of such a thing!

A little late with this but how is Advaliant/MediaTrust? I see your running them and I’ve been keeping a sharp eye on them for quite some time.

I have a pretty good affiliate manager who stays in contact with me (Rich) and they got some good offers. Not many but their CPA rates are the best I’ve seen in a while.

How well is their crediting? What’s the threshold? How is their reports?

Keep me informed as I said I’m signed up with them, just interested in how well they really perform from a veteran Advaliant marketers perspective.

    @Dustin:
So far absolutely no problems with Media Trust and it’s been over 6 months I have been with them.

Great advice, there are so many new affiliate programs everyday that if you don’t test them you will be caught out. Sometimes adopting a new niche product first can be amazing – tons of traffic and low competition. However it can also backfire and end up with you not getting paid due to some ‘technicality’ in their TOS even if you do everything by the book.
