Can things get any worse?

This post is going to be way off topic from what I normally post about but right now there are just a few things I need to get off my chest regarding what is going on with me in my personal life.

On January 9th – 2008 while I was working  (I am a plumber) I was doing a job where we had to move 3 very heavy water heaters into the basement of a small apartment block. The tanks weighed 450 pounds each and should of had at least 4 guys moving them. We only had 3, and as a result of the extra wieght something popped in my back. Last Friday, after being off of work for 2 months I got the results from a MRI that I had two weeks before. I was sent for the MRI simply because the physiotherapy was not working and my back was not getting any better. The results from that MRI were showing that I have 2 bulged discs in my back, one in the center of my back and one at the lowest part of my spin. So it looks like I am going to be off work for at least 2 to 4 more months for sure. What is crappy about that is my income is down 20% as a result of not working and the bills are piling up. So far my girlfriend has been a huge help which I am great full for because the last thing I want to have happen is my 7 year old son  to start to lose out on his activities like swimming lessons as a result of my injury. We both have come a long way since my divorce back in 2006 and with me winning full custody of him we have had nothing but great times.

The icing on the cake!

Over the past week where I live we have started into our spring thaw. Snow is melting and the temperature outside has been just great after the cold winter we have had. But like in a lot of cases when the ground warms up to fast, it shifts, and the results of that shifting can sometimes snap waterlines underground. Well that was the case with my water line yesterday. I had a small fountain in the center of my yard that was spewing onto the sidewalk in front of my house. I had to call the city to shut off my water because if it got any worse my basement was at risk of flooding. Now I have no running water in my home at all! What is even more crappy then all of that is the cost to get the water back onto my house.  The outside work alone is $4000.00 plus what ever needs to get demolished inside my house to push in the new service, which is looking like at least half of my bathroom. Which would not normally concern me much but seeings how I can’t bend over to do anything because of my back, I am going to have to hire people to do the whole job which will bring the project cost close to the $5000 mark, which totally sucks.

I don’t know why things happen this way. Why when someone has lost so much control over things for a small period of time does everything seem to hit. It sure feels that way for me. My divorce left me in a bad financial position which I am out of now but my credit rating still needs some work to get it fixed so getting a loan really is not an option for me right now to get my water back on.

So with all that being said, if any of you know how to make some huge money fast online, please let me know ok, as I could really use the help right now.

Sorry if this post was a bit to personal.

Man Collin that all sucks pretty bad. I had a heart attack in 2004 that was in-operable and left me barely alive. It took me four years to get back to the where I sort of feel like my old self.

I had to take a lot of meds to stay alive but I never gave up on my dreams to make money online.

I don’t make a cent from my MMO blog, it’s just to keep in the game and to learn more.

I make my money talking about my hobbies. Although it took me a couple of years before I started blogging my hobbies. Wish I had done it sooner.

A few months ago I was introduced to BANS Build A Niche Store and added that to the mix with my hobby blogs. I made the BANS sites to go with my hobby sites. So my fly fishing site now has a fly fishing BANS site as does my garden and travel sites.

It is working for me but it’s because I never stop talking about my hobbies so it’s easier for me to keep active.

I still can’t spend much time on the computer, although I spend more than I should and exhaust myself. :)

I certainly feel your pain and if there is anything I can do to help you out I would be glad to assist.

My brother and I have been considering having a few guest bloggers so I was especially interested in viewing this video. Thanks for pointing out the possible risks to having guest bloggers. I think this will help us make a better decision about how many guest bloggers to have, if any.
