Building Recurring Residual Income for Tomorrow – Today!

Posted on March 6th, 2009 by Collin in residual income

Recurring residual income I think is everyone’s favorite type of income. The most popular type of residual income is clearly when you get sign ups under your affiliate links in affiliate marketing. People like Zac Johnson, Shoemoney and John Chow all pull great money this way every month. But they also have a trusted following that is very large. So the question is, how do you build reoccurring residual income if you do not have big powerful blogs like they do?

Inlinks is the answer to that question!

Inlinks.com is a spin off from Text Link Ads. Once you become a member of Inlinks, you install a plug in and then ads are sold on your site and placed in your content. The link ads that are sold are priced based on the amount of traffic you have as well as your PR value. I know what your thinking now too – Google will slap your sites rank if they find out your selling link ads. Well, I have been running Inlinks on this site for 4 months now and there has not been a single drop in traffic or PR.

How much do I make every month off of Inlinks?

I started off making $10.oo my first month with Inlinks and have been climbing by 10 to 15 dollars per month. Right now I am sitting at $52.50 per month for the ads that were sold on this site – and growing! What I like the most about Inlinks is – it’s recurring commissions I get. The ads are sold in packages and the average length of an add is 11 months so – you can see, you can clearly build up some nice extra cash this way.

The way I figured it out, by summer time I will be up to $200.00 a month which is more then enough to cover my dedicated server costs which is kind of my goal with Inlinks.

What type of ads are sold?

The ads are single word are small keyword phrases that are linked back to the purchasers site. I don’t really look at who the ads are all from but I will say this, I know of of them for a fact is from Pro Blogger!

I also sell link ads on some of my other sites too – why not? I have a few sites that are just sitting there, doing nothing and  was honestly looking to fold about 10 sites that I have up right now. So once I saw that I was making money with Inlinks and nothing was happening to my site, I decided to add a few other sites to the mix and increase my income. At Least now my dead sites are helping with my over all monthly residuals.

My Conclusion

Inlinks has proved to be a valuable source of building a residual income stream. Even though it is slow moving, once the plugin is installed – there is nothing else you have to do, but keep blogging. Inlinks also pays via paypal at the 1st of every month like clock work, which I really like.

The word is “recurring.” The root form is “recur,” not “reoccur.”

I have thought about this and always feel I need to be careful as Google slapped me once before for Pay Per Post…. I’ll keep track and see how it’s going for you :)

Google concerns aside, there is one other. It doesn’t bother you that you have no control over who or what advertises on your sites?

Dennis – I can set up the ads to auto go live or set them for manual approval. Either way I want :)

That’s better. I read another review where they apparently didn’t know that.

I like recurring residual programs! At least you know you definitely have some cash rolling in the next month.

I really need to work on this type of income. I’ve only done it a little bit. It’s nice having that residual income come in automatically. I suppose I should stop procrastinating and get to work on it.
