Who ever said RSS buttons had to be boring is an idiot!
If you ever thought your “RSS buttons” needed to be boring then think again, they don’t! One of the hardest things to do as a blogger is to bring some visual excitement to your site and today’s post is based all around that concept. To have something that pops or really stands out that makes people go wow will help them to remember your site. I am not saying a cool looking “RSS button” can bring you traffic, but it sure can draw people over to it and intice them click on it. let’s face it, there is so much competition out there and we as bloggers need every tool we can get to build a blog so that people can remember it. Content does not always do it in some cases, but thats a big one as well. Have you ever gone to a site that is so loaded with content but your eyes just could not stand being there. I have been to a few of those, and what really bothered me was they had great content but the fact I could not stand to look at the site caused me to lose interest fast! There are so many factors involved in making your site visually appealing and a “RSS button” that’s different from all the others is just one way to can pull off something a lot of bloggers can’t.
RSS Here!
Colors, or the lack there of, can sometimes make a site very boring to look at! There are many ways to ad color to a site with out blasting it and making it even harder to read. Using images or photo’s can stimulate a visual attraction and help keep people focused on what you have to say. It also shows you care about what your readers are looking at because your taking the time when you write to make your posts as interesting as you can. One thing I have noticed is the bloggers who seem to take the time to include photo’s or art images in most of there posts are the one who grow the biggest simple because they are taking the time to make there posts stand out which in return keeps visitors coming back. Photo’s or images can also tell a story for you if you chose the right one. Like this RSS button above, what does it say to you?
It’s Cool to Subscribe!
I am sure that some of you have noticed there is a new ad at the top of my site where my Technorati button use to be. I was contacted by a guy named Max Scott yesterday who wanted to advertise with us (and is now) here at Feed Flare. Max is from The “Gold Guys” Blog and he is the creator of these new, very fun RSS buttons you see in today’s post. He not only makes wicked cool buttons for “RSS”, he has thousands of other images as well and he has a great little package you can buy with over 750 images per month in it that you can use on your sites to help spruce up your posts or your advertising needs. I would strongly recommend heading over there and having a look at all the great work Max has done and I know for a fact if you have any questions he would be happy to answer them for you.
*NOTE* I will be updating our Free Buttons page with todays images as well as a few other from The “Gold Guys” Blog. Make sure your around here tomorrow as I am giving away our first contest prize – The new exclusive theme from UBD!
