Building Your SEO For Tomorrow Not Today!

SEO Tips

With all the black hat crap that is out there and bloggers pushing methods of building blogs or websites using systems that are sure to get you banned from the search engines, how do we (the blogsphere) really know what the best practice is to insure our sites grow at a steady pace and keep growing tomorrow.

Our current situation!

They way it looks right now in the search engines is, there is thousands and thousands of articles and websites submitted everyday that we have to compete against. Which makes it hard for us to get our sites ranked and get traffic, so what can we do? We keep working our butts off using most of the same practices, we use a few keywords here and there, sometimes even we go as far as to use 2 keywords together or whats commonly called a keyword phrase. But guys, everyone is doing this as well so it is not going to help you down the road. We, or you need to look at how search engines are going to be used a year from now and build your sites that way.

Searches are more complex now for topics!

When I search on Google for example, for anything, I know that if I used a single keyword or even two keywords the search results I am going to get back are going to be for a bunch of sites with a high PR that will not give me any information I really need or am looking for. As the search engines continue to grow our searches are becoming harder and harder and what we end up using to compile our list of results is to use more and more keywords for our searches. Heck, there have even been times I have used full sentences to get the results I need. So what does that tell you as a webmaster?

Building for a stronger tomorrow today!

The best and the most useful of SEO Tips I could ever give anyone is to build your website the same way you search for others. When ever possible I will not use anything under at least three keywords for anything I submit. Most of the time I will aim for using 4 words, for example when I post about MMO, I am using the phrase “make money video blogging” and as you can see I have 4 very strong keywords put together in one phrase which will narrow the search results or my competition and bring more traffic to my site as that is a more targeted result. The reason why I do this is, and I know I am not the only one who thinks this because I have read this a few times on Courts Internet Marketing School, and it is because searches down the road are going to be more specific and the more specific you can be when your building your site today or writing your posts the better your results are going to be down the road and the better prepared your going to be.

A conversation with Hydra Network

Last week, I had a conversation on the phone with my rep Joe from the Hydra Network and I asked him a question about building an affiliate site, which is something I am working on as we speak and what I asked him is “do you have any tips on how to build an affiliate site or do you know where I can find the information” and his response was when he wanted to find out the exact same thing and decided to search Google for the answer he had to type his whole question in the Google search box to find the answer he needed simple because he could not find what he wanted with smaller phrases as all he was getting was junk. The more complex the question, the more complex the search is going to be and this is where your going to be able to take over a lot of other sites and get targeted traffic. And it was this conversation I had with Joe that made me really sit back and look at how I was building my site and how I was going to build my affiliate site over the next few weeks.

I know that getting traffic takes time, and so do you. So why not build our sites for down the road and be ready for the way searches are going to be done, and are done in some cases right now!

Come to think of it, I’ve used entire sentences too…never really thought about it though, before now.

The “long tail” has always proven better in certain situations. if I’m reading you right, you’re basically saying make the tail even longer? :-)

Great tips…I have found that I am stringing more “phrases” together as my site builds. Also, I think niche markets are ones to get into before the rest of the world does. You are already set up and established when everyone else catches on.

    Great site.
