Capturing Subscribers!

Well it seems that the new craze in the blogsphere is to use auto responder programs to capture email subscribers so you can start promoting Clickbank products via email. This is a great concept and I can see it working well for some people and make them a lot of money but for most people all your doing is spamming your subscribers and upsetting them by filling there in boxes full of spam.

Why I am calling what your doing spam is because you don’t know what the heck your doing. Your going through Clickbank and grabbing what ever pays high and sending your subscribers the links and some made up speech hoping they are going to buy what ever it is your trying to sell and you don’t know a single thing about the product.

Here is a prime example of what I am talking about!

I subscribed to a news letter from Rachel Long, and what she does is sends me 4 emails at the same time with the same information in all 4 emails, everyday! Girl you need to educate yourself on how to use Get Response properly because instead of me reading your email and taking a look at what you are trying to sell me or get me to buy I am getting upset with the fact that I am getting so many darn emails from you about the same things at the same time. YOU ARE FILLING MY IN BOX WITH SPAM, or at least that what I am calling what your doing.

What people are not thinking of before starting to email market!

I know email marketing has been around for ever, and some people are good at it because they research properly what they are doing before they start it or they have a product of their own they are trying to promote. With everyone these days getting on the band wagon and trying to email market all there going to end up doing is hurting the industry simple because people are going to stop subscribing to anything in fear they are going to get a bunch of spam in their in boxes. Which is going to hurt bloggers who are trying to build a steady readership to there blogs via email.

Start thinking long term guys, where you want to be a year from now, do you want to be making money online, more money online and build your business that way. Educate yourselves before you start anything, sometimes the best thing to do is to sit back and wait to see what happens with something and use that time to learn the products instead of jumping in with 2 feet with out knowing what your doing first.

Let me know your thoughts on this by leaving a comment below.

There is a hell of a lot more to do with an autoresponder then promote cost-based products lol.

As for Rachel, she may not even know it’s happening, AR’s glitch like that sometimes…did you contact her to tell her? How often does it happen?

Ooops, Collin I think you should have contacted Rachel first, then unsubscribed and then created this email explaining the problem to help others avoid the same fate.

It seems like you might have made this video in a moment of anger.

I have made a few blunders since I have been online (2001) some most embarrassing but no-one ever slammed me in a video. YET.

My first experiences with forums didn’t go so well and I got slammed publicly by a few people there that thought it was the best way to teach others when they screw up. Well it wasn’t and it caused me to stop using forums for about 2 years.

I think we have to be better people and help other learn without making them feel 2 inches tall.

Hey James, ain’t it funny how bad something looks when you see a facial expression and here a tone from a voice verses just reading words!

Yeah it certainly makes a difference. I am still trying to get over the fear that comes over my face when ever a camera is pointed at me. And I am not even wanted by the police so I am not sure what it is.

You got a whole lot more guts that me Collin. :)
