Meeting the Guru’s – Top Affiliate Chllenge

Posted on July 6th, 2008 by Collin in Top affiliate challenge

I was a bit shocked when I landed in Omaha as I thought that the Guru’s would of all ready been at the hotel. Well I was wrong, and I had the honor of meeting John Chow in person right at the airport. The van ride to Lincoln was pretty plan. There was a few other constants in the van including my arch rival on the show Jason Henderson, who I love to hate on and off the camera. Some people just rub you the wrong way when you meet them and this guy did just that. I am the type of person who does not think that any one person is better then the other and we all have our strengths and weaknesses and no one should ever put down someone else.

As I am sure most of you know at this point who are following the Top Affiliate Challenge that I am on team xy7.com and that it is run by John Chow. (a fellow Canadian) I will say this about John and that is something that you are not going to see on the show and that is he is brilliant working with wordpress and truly loves blogging. I sat back one night while he was working on a blog post and just thought to my self how much this guy really loves what he does for a living. I know some people think that bloggers like John only respond to the first few comments on there blogs but when ever John gets a new comment, even if his post is at 600 comments, he reads every single one. I have learned a tone just about blogging since I have been here and look forward to implementing a lot of new tings to my blog when I get back home.

John loves to have fun, and if you have been watching some of the video’s on his blog you will see just that.(I am even is some of them) I have not spent very much time working with Ken, or Jeremy at this point but would love the chance to, and I don’t think it is going to happen before the show ends either. From what I have seen so far Ken is a great leader and he has taken his team to many victor’s so far in the show. Jeremy has been gone for the last few days as he and his wife have delivered a healthy baby girl. What I have seen from him as far as Internet marketing is concerned is he is very, very smart with how he builds his online businesses and it is very clear why he has been as successful as he has been and will continue to be.

I am just in the middle of a challenge right now so you will have to excuse you for a bit. I will be back, with more posts and tips on affiliate marketing and how life is here on the show.
