“The MGM Grand”
As most of you know, I just got back from a trip to Las Vegas a few days ago. My girlfriend Andrea and I decided to go with a few of our friends a few months back and over the next few days your going to be seeing and reading my thoughts about Las Vegas, and today’s post is all about where we stayed – The MGM Grand
We got a very sweet package deal from our travel agent which included our air fair and hotel accommodation’s at “The MGM Grand” for around 700 dollars each which to me was a sweet deal. And looking back on the trip now that I am feeling a lot better I sure am glad we stayed where we did. The MGM Grand hotel for those of you who don’t know is one of the worlds largest hotels, if not the largest with over 6500 estimated rooms, at least 5 or 6 night clubs and lounges, amazing restaurant’s, marble floors everywhere, a real Lion’s den with 2 live Lion’s, a massive pool area, and of coarse a very classy casino. We were a bit over whelmed when we walked into the lobby of the hotel as you can see by watching the following video.

One thing I didn’t show you in the video was a clip of our room we stayed in. Over all it was probably just another hotel room to most people but the bed they had in there was freaking awesome! The softest kind size bed I have ever been on in my life. Andrea and I are still trying to get use to our bed at home after sleeping on such a luxury bed while we were in Vegas. The room comes with the standard stuff like a safe, TV, couch and closet. The washroom was huge with a marble tube surround and marble floors which made us feel a lot richer then we really are so that was nice for a change.
2 things they need to add to the rooms!
If you have never been to Vegas before you might not know what I am talking about right now, but a foot massager in the hotel room would of been a great feature we both would of loved to have seen. We walked so much over the coarse of three days our feet’s were killing us to the point it was an effort to walk. That little feature would of been nice to have. Also it would of been great to see one of those 2 cup coffee makers in the room as well. There is nothing worse then when you are hung over and thirsty and craving a coffee then to think of a 20 min walk to go and get one. Over all I would have to give the room we stayed in 2 thumbs up.
A hotel packed with features!
Not only does The MGM Grand have a lot of staff to help you enjoy your visit in Vegas, they also have a ton of things to do inside their hotel. I video taped a few of my favorite things that I saw while I was inside the hotel, but trust me there is a lot more to see then what I am showing you here.

Another cool and fun area to hang out at is the pool. Not only is it massive and has a flowing river as part of it which you can tube ride, but water falls as well. I didn’t get to spend nearly enough time at the pool because I went there on Sunday, the day we came home and my girlfriend and I were both extremely hungover and the sun was making us feel more sick. So we left the pool after about an hour and went inside and played the machines for a bit in the coolness of the hotels air conditioning.
Over all we both loved our visit with MGM and can’t wait to get back there to see Vegas and the great staff again. Make sure you come by tomorrow where I will post about the strip and some of the night life.
